University of Central Asia (UCA)

by aritha | Dec 19, 2018 | partners

The University of Central Asia (UCA) was founded in 2000 based on an international treaty signed by the Presidents of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic and Tajikistan and His Highness the Aga Khan. UCA’s mission is to promote the social and economic development of Central Asia, particularly its mountain societies, while at the same time helping the peoples of the region to preserve and draw upon their rich cultural traditions and heritages as assets for the future. Through its Mountain Societies Research Institute (MSRI), UCA has been actively involved with the GSLEP mandate since 2014, and signed an MOU with GSLEP (along with SLF-Kyrgyzstan and SLT) in 2016.
