World Environment Day

by aritha | Jun 5, 2015 | Snow-leopard-blog

Dear colleagues, friends and supporters!

The World Environment Day is celebrated on 5th June around the world every year to attract the attention of humanity to the plight of our beautiful planet and all its living beings. The theme of the World Environment Day this year is “Seven Billion Dreams. One Planet. Consume with Care.” These words call upon us to pay special attention to the management of the production and consumption of water, food, energy and natural resources. By reducing human pressure on natural ecosystems, we can maintain the habitat for many endangered species. On this day we want to express our gratitude to all partners and colleagues, who direct their efforts to preserve nature in different capacities. Our goodwill and decisions can help maintain a healthy environment for all of us and for future generations. We believe that if each of us, and those who hear our voices, follows the message of reduce, reuse and recycle on this Environment Day, we can soon realize our dreams of the future we want, with clean air and water. Thanking you all once again for everything you do to make ours a better planet. With best wishes, The Secretariat of the Global Snow Leopard and its Ecosystem Program Bishkek June 5, 2015
