NABU is the largest environment association in Germany and one of the most well-known conservation NGOs in the world. NABU has been committed to the protection of the snow leopard since 1999, supporting research and conservation projects in six of 12 countries the species is found in. As one of the initiators and driving forces behind the GSLEP, NABU provides the program with financial and capacity building support.
